Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
is a chlorinated hydrocarbon polymer produced from vinyl chloride
monomer (CH2=CHCl) which is
supplied in a liquid form. Its basic building blocks are chlorine,
which is produced from sodium chloride (sea salt) and crude oil or natural gas, both of which are mixtures of hydrocarbons.
Vinyl
chloride monomer (VCM)
is the key material from which PVC is made. VCM is polymerized
to produce PVC commercially.
OxyVinyls offers PVC products in large, commercial quantities
in different grades for various applications. OxyVinyls sells
PVC in bulk quantities (railcars and bulk trucks) and bags, and can
be exported in super sacks and other packages.
